A native of San Jose, Suzanne discovered a love for classical music and the violin at the age of nine. She went on to earn a BSC in Business from Santa Clara University and an M.A. in Arts Administration from Indiana University.

For more than twenty years, she worked as an arts administrator with prominent Bay Area organizations, including the Santa Clara Chorale, the San Jose Symphony (now the Silicon Valley Symphony), and the Masterworks Chorale (now Masterworks Chorale Bay Area). In these roles, she partnered with boards of directors to shape long- and short-term visions, collaborated with music directors on repertoire and programming, managed concert operations, participated in contract negotiations, and secured funding through grant writing.

In 2005, she made a career transition, earning her Paralegal Certificate from De Anza College. Shortly thereafter, she joined Farbstein & Blackman as a litigation paralegal and office administrator. In this role, she supports the firm in a wide variety of ways, working closely with attorneys, staff, and clients to deliver creative, efficient, and effective solutions. She values the collaborative environment and describes the work as “never a dull moment.”

Outside of the office, she continues to pursue her passion for music by singing with the Serenade Chamber Choir and the Masterworks Chorale, performing in concerts throughout the Bay Area. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. She and her partner of more than 40 years, John, have two adult children, Sarah and Devin, and share their home with a very spoiled cat, Quincy.
