Adam Turton is an experienced employment litigator who represents employers of all sizes in complex workplace disputes in California state and federal courts. His practice encompasses class and representative actions, including claims brought under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), as well as individual employment matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour concerns, and wrongful termination.

Adam brings a practical, detail-oriented, common-sense approach to litigation. He focuses on identifying the issues that drive a case, developing an effective strategy early, and presenting complex factual and legal issues clearly and persuasively. His experience spans matters from their earliest stages through discovery, motion practice, mediation, administrative proceedings, and trial preparation. He embraces the challenges of litigation and approaches each matter with the goal of achieving practical results consistent with his clients’ business objectives.

Before joining Farbstein & Blackman, Adam practiced at a major national labor and employment law firm, where he represented and advised large national employers in complex employment matters. Adam has also represented clients in proceedings before state and federal administrative agencies, including the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Adam has been consistently recognized by Northern California Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2024-2025 and 2027. Adam serves on the Board of Directors of the San Mateo County Bar Association’s Barristers Section and is an active participant in the local legal community.

Adam is an avid music enthusiast who enjoys playing piano, studying voice, and performing at open mics and karaoke events throughout the Bay Area.
